Introducing our Trustees

We get asked who are our Trustees? What is their background? Why did they become Trustees. Their backgrounds are various, their reasons for joining us equally so. Let us introduce you to another of our most recent Trustees, Priscilla Kendall.

Priscilla

My career (such as it was) was a mixture of finance and administrative roles then teaching, developing curriculum and managing staff in the Further Education (FE) sector. All of these came together over the last 20 years while I was a self employed associate using my qualifications, experiences and skills for the education sector both nationally and internationally. Since moving to Eastbourne and no longer working full time, I have got more involved in local life through joining community organisations and taking up volunteer roles. I am now an Information and Advice volunteer for Age Concern Eastbourne which I enjoy immensely as I can help many of our clients who are having to deal with local and national government as well as other small and large organisations. In addition I am currently the Treasurer of the local VCSE organisation 3VA which has enabled me to find out more about the many small charities making life better for those living and working in this part of East Sussex. As championing women has always been part of my DNA, joining WayfinderWoman  as a trustee and volunteer seemed an obvious fit as it allows me to use my skills and experiences to take an active role in assisting our aim of supporting Inspiring Women to Inspire Women
