WayfinderWoman Presents Work and Wellbeing Day 2020

16 October 2020 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

Three amazing speakers talking to employers and employees about staying well at work as the pandemic continues to affect the economy.

About this Event

Sadly due to the pandemic we had to cancel our popular 2020 Work and Wellbeing Day with our exhibition hall, speaker hall and workshops but, never defeated, we have worked with three amazing speakers who would have spoken on the day and they are now taking their presentations online. Part of our drive to work with employers and this is open to men and women. Drop by and hear from the experts then engage with the Q&A. Meeting will start at 10.00am to allow time to sort out any technical gremlins for attendees.

As I’m sure you realise all charities are finding fundraising impossible so although this event is free we would gladly welcome any donation you may choose to make. This event is being supported by Freedom Leisure.

10.15-10.45 Victoria Regan – Rix & Kay Solicitor LLPLooking after Employee Mental Health & Wellbeing in the “new normal”

As businesses get back up and running, employers now need to consider what the “new normal” will look like for their business and workforce. Whilst some employees may now be back in the workplace, others maybe working from home or remain on furlough leave. All of whom will have been affected differently by Covid-19 and will all require different periods of time to adjust to the “new normal”. It is important for Employers to mindful of the physical and psychological impact that Covid-19 has had upon its employees and focus on the health, safety and wellbeing of its employees.

Victoria shall be considering the impact this pandemic has had upon employee health and wellbeing and the steps that can be taken to support the health, safety and wellbeing of the workforce.

Voices from the frontline

How can employers recognise and support employees wo are under stress and may be suffering from a breakdown? Why are employees reluctant to ‘open up’ to their line managers? Working as a Peer Support Coach with The Wellbeing Performance Company in Eastbourne, Nicola can give personal insights into the world of those who suffer with mental health issues and give employers valuable advice.
