The average likelihood of winning a prize, per Prize Draw Raffle Ticket, is 1 in 2,000. |

The information set out below is a summary of our key terms for information purposes only. This does not replace the full terms and conditions set out below. In the event of any conflict between this summary and the full terms and conditions, the full terms and conditions will apply. |
(A) You must be 16 years of age or older and meet the other eligibility and verification criteria to purchase a Raffle Ticket or receive a Prize. See Clauses 1, 8 and 37. |
(B) Each Raffle Ticket will be sold for £2. |
(C) Applications in person for Raffle Tickets received after 4:00pm on 2 June 2024 will not be entered into the Grand Draw and the payment for such Raffle Tickets will be treated as a donation to The WayfinderWoman Trust unless you expressly state otherwise on your application for such Raffle Ticket(s). See Clauses 21-23. |
(D) The Prizes for the Draw are: 3 nights AirBnB at the Cottage at the Mill (1st Prize), Double Saund and Float (2nd Prize), Wellness Session with HorseUK (3rd Prize), |
(E) Any complaints or disputes will be first handled by our Complaints Officer with a right to appeal to the Independent Betting Arbitration Service. See Clauses 51-53. |
Definitions |
• ‘Grand Draw’ means the lottery that is operated by The WayfinderWoman Trust |
• ‘Closing Date’ means 4:00pm on 2 June 2024 |
• ‘Main Draw’ means the draw for the Prizes described at Clauses 27-32 |
• WayfinderWoman means The WayfinderWoman Trust |
• ‘Prize’ means any of the prizes as set out at Clauses 27-32 |
• ‘Raffle Ticket’ means a ticket purchased for the Grand Draw, whether by post or via telephone |
• ‘Ticket Holder’ means a person who holds a Raffle Ticket in accordance with these terms and conditions. |
Entry conditions |
1. To be eligible to purchase a Raffle Ticket, a person must: a) be 16 years of age or over; |
b) be located in Great Britain; |
c) not be an employee of The WayfinderWoman Trust and |
d) comply with these terms and conditions. |
2. A Raffle Ticket will be entered into the Grand Draw if: |
a) an application for such Raffle Ticket is received by The WayfinderWoman Trust before the Closing Date; and |
b) payment for such application is received by The WayfinderWoman Trust before the Closing Date. |
4. Each Raffle Ticket will be sold for £2. |
5. WayfinderWoman may, at its sole discretion, refuse to sell a Raffle Ticket to any person without giving reasons. |
6. A Raffle Ticket may not be transferred from a person listed as the owner of the respective Raffle Ticket on The WayfinderWoman Trust’s records to another person. |
7. We will process your personal data securely to manage your entry into the raffle. We will also use your data to send you the information you have requested (if relevant). We will not use your details for marketing communications that you haven’t agreed to receive. Should you change your mind about whether to receive that information from us or how you’re contacted by us for marketing purposes, let us know by calling us on 01323 886171. Underage purchases |
8. By purchasing a Raffle Ticket and entering the Grand Draw, you confirm that you are 16 years or older at the date when you purchased the Raffle Ticket or entered the Grand Draw. If The WayfinderWoman Trust determines that a Ticket Holder is under the age of 16 at the date the Raffle Ticket was purchased or returned, the Ticket Holder shall not be entitled to any Prize and WayfinderWoman will return to the Ticket Holder the amount paid by them the Raffle Ticket(s). |
9. WayfinderWoman reserves the right to verify the age of any person seeking to purchase a Raffle Ticket or a Ticket Holder, at any time (including after a Raffle Ticket has been purchased), by requesting such proof of age as WayfinderWoman may require. |
Payment |
10. By purchasing, or attempting to purchase, a Raffle Ticket, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. |
11. Payment by post: payment for a Raffle Ticket can be made by cheque. Cheques should be made payable to The WayfinderWoman Trust. |
Charities Aid Foundation vouchers or other charity vouchers cannot be accepted as payment for Raffle Tickets. Please do not send cash. |
12. Payment by phone: payment for a Raffle Ticket can be made by credit/debit card. |
13. Payment on line: Payment can be made via PayPal Donate page with a minimum amount of £10 |
14. WayfinderWoman accepts no responsibility if the chosen method of payment is cancelled by you, your bank or credit/debit card provider. |
15. A person may not purchase more than £100 of Raffle Tickets unless approved by The WayfinderWoman Trust upon special request. |
Postal entries |
16. For postal entries, Raffle Ticket stubs must be completed and sent directly with the payment to: WayfinderWoman, Suite 1, 8 St Leonards Road, Eastbourne, BN21 3UH and received by noon on Friday 31 May 2024 . |
17. If you are purchasing Raffle Ticket(s) for another person by post you need to include that person’s details on the Raffle Ticket stub(s) when you return them. |
18. No responsibility is taken for any Raffle Ticket, or payment which is lost, delayed, or damaged in the post. Proof of posting will not be accepted as proof of receipt. |
Online entries |
19. Online entries are valid once the payment has been processed. If payment is successful you will receive numbers for your Raffle Tickets by email |
Closing date |
21. The Closing Date for the Grand Draw is 4:00pm on 2 June 2024. |
22. Applications for Raffle Tickets received after the Closing Date will not be entered into the Grand Draw. |
23. Any payment for Raffle Tickets received after the Closing Date will be treated as a donation to The WayfinderWoman Trust unless you expressly state otherwise on your application for such Raffle Ticket(s), for example by writing on the Raffle Tickets you send to The WayfinderWoman Trust. If payment is received after the Closing Date, Raffle Tickets will not be purchased/ entered into the Grand Draw. |
The draw |
24. The Main Draw will take place on 2 June 2024 at The Big House, 49 Prideaux Rd, Eastbourne |
25. Raffle Tickets will be drawn randomly. |
26. The result of the Grand Draw is final. |
The prizes |
27. The Ticket Holder of the first Raffle Ticket drawn will receive 3 nights AirBnB at the Cottage at the Mill |
28. The Ticket Holder of the second Raffle Ticket drawn will receive Double Sauna and Float 29. The Ticket Holder of the third Raffle Ticket drawn will receive Wellness Session with HorseUK |
30. The Prize described above at 27 shall be referred to as the ‘First Prize’. |
Payment of prizes |
31. The person who wins the First Prize will be notified by telephone where possible. All other winners of Prizes will be notified in writing. |
32. All Prizes are non-transferable and no alternatives will be provided. |
33. A complete list of winners of Prizes will be available from 4 June for one week by visiting our website |
34. WayfinderWoman reserves the right to request proof of identity from any person who claims a Prize. |
35. A person shall not be eligible to receive a Prize if they do not satisfy the criteria at Clause 1a)-(c) or if their payment (if not in cash) has not cleared. |
36. WayfinderWoman reserves the right to withhold or refuse payment of any Prize if it has reasonable grounds to believe that these terms and conditions have been breached in any way. |
37. If a Prize is transferred to a person who is not eligible to receive the Prize, the Prize shall be repayable or returned (as applicable) by that person to WayfinderWoman on demand. |
38. By entering the Grand Draw, if you win a Prize you agree to The WayfinderWoman Trust using your first name and home county on The WayfinderWoman Trust website and otherwise to promote the raffles operated by The WayfinderWoman Trust. |
Unclaimed prizes |
39. All Prizes must be claimed no later than 180 days from the date of the Draw. |
40. Any Prizes which remain unclaimed after 180 days from the date of the Draw shall be forfeited and donated to The WayfinderWoman Trust. |
Responsible gambling |
41. The WayfinderWoman Trust provides the right to self-exclude. |
42. You may request to be excluded from all raffles operated by The WayfinderWoman Trust. 43. If you wish to self-exclude, you can: |
a) follow the self-exclusion procedure in the Raffles section of the Website; or |
b) contact our team on the following phone number 01313 886171 or by email |
44. If you elect to self-exclude, you may not purchase WayfinderWoman Raffle Tickets for the period of self-exclusion and will not be sent any related marketing. |
45. At the end of the self-exclusion period, you may request to purchase further Raffle Tickets (and receive marketing materials) by contacting our team on 01323 886171 |
Limitation of liability |
46. Subject to Clause 48, the liability of WayfinderWoman to any Ticket Holder shall be limited to the amount of any Prize(s) which is due to that Ticket Holder. |
47. Subject to Clause 48, WayfinderWoman shall not be liable: |
a) to any person for The WayfinderWoman Trust’s inability to contact you and/or award any Prize due to any errors or omissions in the details you provide or your failure to update these details if they change; |
b) for any interest of whatever nature claimed by person in a lost or stolen Raffle Ticket; |
c) any matter beyond The WayfinderWoman Trust’s reasonable control. |
48. Nothing in these terms and conditions shall exclude or limit the liability of WayfinderWoman for: |
a) death or personal injury resulting from negligence; |
b) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or |
c) any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law. |

Governing law |
53. These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England. |
54. Subject to your right to use an alternative dispute resolution provider as set out at Clause 50, each party agrees that the courts of England shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim (including non-contractual disputes or claims) arising out of or in connection with this agreement or its subject matter or formation. |

What information do we hold about you and why? |
Entering a competition: |
When entering a competition, we will collect the following information about you: |
• Your full name – to process your competition entry and contact you if you are a winner. |
• Your date of birth (if required) – to confirm your eligibility to enter the competition, for example, some competitions will be restricted to over 16s. |
• Your full address – to contact you if you are a winner and if applicable, send your prize. |
• Your email address (if you provide one) – to contact you if you are a winner. |
• Your contact telephone number – to contact you if you are a winner. |
• Your mobile telephone number – if you have requested further information about a competition or entered a competition, by text. |
It is necessary to process this information to fulfil our competition terms and conditions to you. Our legal grounds in relation to this processing is contract, in that the processing is necessary for the provision of the service (entry to the competition). |
We will also use your address to send you other postal communications about the Trust (including ways that you can support our cause) because we consider it to be of interest to you and that you would reasonably expect to hear from us about these activities. If you would prefer not to receive these communications, you can let us know at any time. Our legal grounds in relation to this processing is legitimate interests. |
If you have provided us with an email address, we will send you other communications about the Trust if you have told us that you would like to receive these communications. Our legal grounds in relation to this processing is your consent and you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. |
Purchasing lottery or raffle tickets: |
When you purchase a lottery or raffle ticket from the Trust, we will collect the following information about you: |
• Your full name – to process your competition entry and contact you if you are a winner. |
• Your date of birth (if required) – to confirm your eligibility to enter the competition, for example, some competitions will be restricted to over 16s. |
• Your full address – to contact you if you are a winner and if applicable, send your prize. |
• Your email address (if you provide one) – to contact you if you are a winner. |
• Your contact telephone number – to contact you if you are a winner. |
• Your mobile telephone number – if you have requested further information about a competition or entered a competition, by text. |
We collect this information from you if you complete one of our lottery or raffle ticket entries or apply to enter a lottery or raffle, online. |
When we process your information for the purposes of entering you into a lottery or raffle, we will do so to fulfil our terms and conditions to you. Our legal grounds in relation to this processing is contract, in that the processing is necessary for the provision of the service (entry to the lottery or raffle). |
As stated in the lottery terms and conditions, we would like to use the winner’s name for promotional purposes. These will be only in summary, for example Mrs McDonald from Eastbourne. Where we do so, our lawful basis is legitimate interests – however, if you would prefer to remain anonymous, please contact info@wayfinderwoman.com. We may also ask to use winners’ stories and/or photographs for publication on the website, or to promote the lottery. Where we do so, our lawful basis will be consent and we will discuss this with you prior to publication. |
When we process your information for the purposes of retaining accurate records, we do so in line with the Fundraising Regulator for England, Wales and Northern Ireland, and the Finance Acts of 2005 and 2010. Our legal grounds in relation to this processing is legal obligation in that it is necessary for evidencing compliance with the legislation. This information will be retained for 6 years from the end of the financial year in which the last donation payment was made. |
If we use your information to contact you to let you know what difference you make to our work, what we are working on and how you can support us to achieve even more, our legal grounds are legitimate interests, because we think you would expect to hear from us about this and it is of interest to you. If you would prefer we did not contact you, you can let us know at any time. We will contact you for up to 2 years after your last donation. After this time, you will no longer hear from us unless you have provided your consent. |
If you have provided us with a contact telephone number or email address, we will contact you with other communications about the Trust if you have told us that you would like to receive these. Our legal grounds in relation to this processing is your consent and you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. |
Managing self-exclusions: |
If you submit a Self-Exclusion Request via email or by telephone and ask us to remove you from future marketing communications regarding our raffles, lottery or any other gambling related products or services, we will collect the following information from you: |
• Your full name |
• Your date of birth (if required) |
• Your full address – to contact you to confirm registration for self-exclusion |
• Your email address (if you provide one) – to contact you to confirm registration |
• Your contact telephone number – to contact you to confirm registration. |
• Your mobile telephone number – if you have requested contact by text. |
It is necessary to process this information to fulfil our licence conditions and comply with the Gambling Act 2005. |

Who will have access to your data and who will we share it with? |
Access to your personal data will be restricted to Trust employees and partners (as listed below) on a need to know basis only. Access will be provided for the purposes of supporting you as a competition or raffle entrant, contacting you regarding your entry and making sure we keep you informed about the things important to you. |
We will never sell your data to third parties. |
We will only ever share your information with third parties in relation to supporting your relationship with us. To make your interactions with us as efficient as possible we will share your information with: |
• PayPal Privacy Policy for further information. |
• delivering our newsletter and gathering statistics around email opening and clicks to help us monitor and improve content. |
Where these third parties are acting as data controllers, they are required to handle your personal data in accordance with all applicable data protection laws. For further information about how they do this, please refer to their privacy policies. |
Where the third parties are acting as data processors, processing personal data on behalf of the Trust, we have contracts in place with these third parties which require them to process your personal data on our instructions only. They will not process your personal data for any other purpose and they will retain it securely. |
In some cases, your data may be processed outside of the UK. Where this is the case, we will ensure that there are adequate safeguards in place (for example, the use of Standard Contractual Clauses) for the protection of your personal data. |
How long will we keep your personal data? |
• Information held on your record (including contact details, donations made, enquiries): 6 years from the end of our financial year. |
• Credit/Debit Card payments: held until the transaction is successfully completed. |
• Bank details (account number and sort code) where a regular Direct Debit is arranged: 6 years from the end of our financial year during which the Direct Debit came to an end. |
• Self-exclusion details: held until the self-exclusion period expires. |
