SUMMARY:Becoming Assertive
DESCRIPTION:A SIX session programme that helps you develop your assertiveness.\nFor women only. \nAre you struggling to say no to people?\nDo you feel like a doormat? \nMost people struggle to say no. Saying yes makes us feel good\, until it doesn’t and we take on so much that we don’t have time for anything else. Least of all self- care. This course will help you to be more assertive\, understand others and stand your ground when you need to. \nYou will learn what stops you from saying no and how you can still help without doing everything for everyone. You will also learn how different people communicate and what your preferences are so you can better adapt to different people. This will help you to communicate more effectively and be more empathic towards people who are not the same as you. \nTo get the most benefit from this course\, its best you attend all 6 sessions. The dates for these are from 14 June to 19 July 2024 \nIf you attend all six workshops you can either gain an AQA Unit Award certificate for your CV or a £10 gift voucher. \nNOTE: Although this is a free course\, funded by the Garfield Weston Foundation\, it costs £105 per person to run the course. If you cannot attend please let us know immediately so that we can allocate your place to someone else on the waiting list. \nThe programme is being run by Mia Neupauer\, an experienced coach well known for her work in and around Eastbourne.
