DESCRIPTION:A six week course that lasts a lifetime.\nWhilst still recovering from the pandemic\, dealing with the cost of living crisis and worrying about keeping or getting a job\, managing caring responsibilities and day to day stresses etc\, it’s no wonder that our levels of anxiety are high and our self-confidence is taking a knock. \nFind an infinite well of inner calm with this 6-week Mind Calm Mediation course. Suitable for beginners and experienced meditators alike\, this course will give you the tools and techniques to help you to let go of the worry and stress associated with overthinking so that you can experience more peace\, calm and serenity. \nLearn how to prioritize your heart’s highest hope and experience more connection\, confidence and joy in a fun and easy way. Mind Calm works by helping you to change your relationship with your mind by being ‘consciously aware’ during daily life. \nRun by the highly regarded Becci Godfrey\, in these six\, one-hour practical sessions you will learn the philosophy and theory behind the Mind Calm Meditation technique and have the chance to practice and ask questions within a supportive group. \nRepeat attendees are welcome! \nFollow up support is provided in a weekly summary email\, access to replays for 4 weeks after the event and a supporting book and guided meditation CD (available online to purchase). \nThis is a six week course which will run between 11am and 12pm on the following dates: \n\n26th February\n5th March\n12th March\n19th March\n26th March\n2nd April\n\nNOTE: Although this course is free thanks to funding from the National Lottery\, it costs £95 per person to run. DESCRIPTION:Join our fun and interactive women’s workshop to see how laughter can improve our health and wellbeing. \n\nCome and join us and share some laughter in our light-hearted workshop where we will laugh for wellness and health.\nLaughter decreases stress hormones and increases immune cells and infection-fighting antibodies\, thus improving your resistance to disease. Laughter triggers the release of endorphins\, the body’s natural feel-good chemicals. \nLeading benefits of laughter include stress reduction\, strengthened social connections and the release of your body’s “feel good” chemical\, endorphins. As a result\, one of the many benefits of laughter and humour is the power to combat anxiety and depression. \nThis workshop is your opportunity to relax\, have fun and laugh\, and while doing so also know that you are boosting both your physical and mental health. \nThis is an interactive workshop that will have you up on your feet and moving around – We can adapt to different physical abilities\, so this is open to all. We will move our bodies and laugh through choice. Waking up our chuckle muscles so we can feel lighter and brighter and more resilient. \n**Please wear comfy clothes and bring a blanket or matt to lie on to ensure you feel comfy during the relaxation activity at the end of the session. Please do not drink alcohol before the workshop. Hydrate. Please drink plenty of water and do not arrive on a very full stomach** \nAs laughter is a physical activity there are a few contra indications Most people can participate with ease but if you do have any health issues please get in touch before booking or seek advice from your GP. Please see the FAQ’s below which lists most of the contra-indications. A full list will be sent to you in advance. \nPlease note that this workshop is funded by the National Lottery Reaching Communities grant\, however it costs us £600 to run which works out at £30 per person.
